A Good Week For Evernote And RTM

Last week was a good one for Evernote and Remember The Milk.

Firstly, Evernote finally added two factor authentication. Of all the applications I use, I think I'm happiest that this one now has TFA.

Secondly, Evernote and RememberTheMilk are now talking very nicely to each other. Evernote adding Reminders has made for some very nice new functionality on both sides.

Here's a few of the nice new things:

  • Add a note in Evernote with a reminder - it gets pushed to RTM
  • Mark a task as completed on either side and that gets pushed to the other (as do date changes etc)
  • RTM tasks added via Evernote have a link to that note

This is going to be extremely useful and is enough to push me back to RememberTheMilk after a spell with Things.

You can do some neat stuff. Got an email you need to action on Friday? Forward it to Evernote with a reminder (using the !friday parameter) - it'll then go to your Evernote account AND add a task in RememberTheMilk for Friday. That's really very cool indeed.
