I'm on a bit of a health kick at the moment.
I've lost 15 pounds since starting my diet and now it's time to kick the smoking in. I tried Zyban a few years ago and it worked really well for me (I started again, obviously, but that was no fault of the Zyban). I seem to have been the only person on the planet who didn't suffer serious side effects with it, so the docs - at least here in the UK - don't prescribe it any more for smoking cessation. There's an alternative - Champix - which I'm starting today.
With Champix, you carry on smoking when you start the tablets and you pick a date between 8 and 14 days from the start date to give up. I've picked Tuesday, 24th April as my Stop Day.
I've been trying not to read too much about it on the web, as there's all the usual horror stories and the success stories seem to get buried amongst them. I'll add to the mix by posting my progress here.
Wish me luck!
